RAISING MONEY from ANGELS and VENTURE CAPITALISTS
Meeting Sponsors Back to Calendar Directions to the meeting
This meeting sponsored by Deloitte & Touche
Raising money (capital), is one of the most critical and time consuming tasks for entrepreneurs when starting and growing a company. Times and Terms have changed dramatically since the boom days of "dot com".

On Tuesday, February 5, you will learn about raising money for your company from Private Investors (Angels), Venture Capitalists (VC), and a CEO who has done it. Our panelists, with backgrounds as entrepreneurs, and in raising and investing money, will provide point-counterpoint. The panel will also discuss changes in the ground rules and availability of funds since the market decline of March-April, 2000. ROI and Profits have replaced "eyeballs" as investment criteria. Expectations of rapid exit via IPO (Initial Public Offering) or sale have made way for realistic break-even times. Find out what domains are hot, and not.
