Vic Odryna, President & CEO, Inceptor

Vic is responsible for Inceptor's strategic planning, financing and business operations. Vic's career spans over twenty years, with experience in executive management, growth strategies, corporate financing and acquisitions.

In 1991, Vic founded PixelVision, which quickly grew to be ranked #25 on Inc. magazine's prestigious list of the 500 fastest growing private companies. After successfully managing the acquisition of PixelVision by Avocent (formerly Cybex Computer Products) in 1999, Vic assumed the role of SVP of Global Marketing at Avocent and was instrumental in launching the industries first KVM over IP technology. Vic left Avocent to establish Mirecho Labs, an early stage startup developing narrowcasting technology. Vic earned a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science as well as an MS in Computer Science from the University of Connecticut.

Steven DiPalma, President & CEO, Catalyst Oncology

Steve co-founded Catalyst Oncology, Inc., a leading provider of cost-effective personalized medicine solutions to the oncology market in July 2003. Previously, Steve was a co-founder and CFO at Athena Diagnostics, Inc., a premium specialty reference lab providing innovative neurology testing services. Prior to Catalyst, he was CFO at Milkhaus Laboratories, Inc., a drug development company, and at Phytera, Inc., a private biotechnology company focused on natural-products based drug discovery and development. Before Phytera, he was CFO at Aquila Biopharmaceuticals, Inc., a publicly traded biotech company and successor to Cambridge Biotech. Steve received an MBA from Babson College in Wellesley, MA and a Bachelors of Science from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.
 

 

Mitchell G. Tyson, CEO, Advanced Electron Beams

Mitch Tyson joined Advanced Electron Beams as CEO and Director in October, 2005, when the company completed its "Series A" round of venture funding.  AEB is committed to developing new electron beam technology for advanced manufacturing processes and environmental control.

Prior to joining AEB, Mitch was a corporate consultant and lecturer, serving on multiple industry, government, and corporate Boards of Directors, and advising start-up organizations and venture capital firms.  Mitch was the CEO of PRI Automation, a publicly traded corporation, which supplied automation systems including hardware, software and services for the semiconductor industry. >From 1987 to 2002, he held positions of increasing management responsibility, and helped transform PRI Automation from a small robotics manufacturer to the world's leading supplier of semiconductor fab automation systems. Mr. Tyson managed the growth of the company from $4 million to over $300 million in revenue, and he guided the company through its IPO.

Vicky Wu, CEO, Froghop Inc.

Vicky is the founder and CEO of Froghop, a pioneer in transmedial technology for video games.  Under Vickys direction, the company has grown from a technology-enabler to the only full-service solutions provider for transmedial access.  She is responsible for creating and driving the long-term vision, product planning, and business development for the Company.  Vicky is a founding member of the TMA Consortium an industry leader collaboration for the advancement of cross-platform design and technology.  She is also a regular contributor to Game Creation magazine, a professional magazine serving the game development community in China.  Her experiences at Fortune 500 companies and startups helped her hone a cross-functional discipline in finance, operations, sales, and strategy. 

Vicky serves as a mentor for MITs Venture Mentor Services, and often speaks on the topic of entrepreneurship at local schools such as MIT, Boston University, Babson, and UMass Amherst.  She also chairs a social entrepreneurial group called Executive Minds for Social Innovation.
