Meeting Overview:

Investors will rarely fund even the earliest stage company without revenue. You are going to be selling from day one, and you are going to need an effective strategy whether your aim is to sell the product or the company. At this meeting, we are going to hear about developing winning sales strategies from three different perspectives.

Panel:
Richard A. Langevin ( [email protected] ),

is a successful CEO, angel investor, and business advisor. For twenty-five years, he has assisted both established and emerging companies to increase significantly their revenues, marketshare, and profits by developing and implementing effective �go-to-market� strategies and implementation plans that produce quick results. Some examples of his business successes include:
(a) increased a 5-year old company�s sales from $0.5M to $14M in one year;
(b) led a $6M company to change from a consulting business into a products business (today, that company�s annual revenues exceed $550M);
(c) within a year, achieved profitability and, within three years, increasing annual revenues 50% for a business that had never been profitable;
(d) completed a successful $30M IPO for a software startup; and
(e) was the CEO with a company that was acquired for $27M.

In 2001, he founded Langevin Management Advisors, which specializes in helping companies to develop results-oriented business strategies and execution plans that deliver fast and significant sales results!

Paul M. Houle ( [email protected] ),

joined Hawkeye Global in April 2003 as President & CEO. He has extensive experience in managing high technology firms involved in both commercial and government applications including start-ups, turnarounds, and fast growing divisions within large multinational corporations at BAE Systems, Honeywell, and Wang Laboratories, and most recently at Newpoint Technologies.

At Newpoint, Mr. Houle originally served as the COO in 1994 and later became its President and CEO from 1996 to 2002. He grew the company from its start-up stage through market acceptance and recognition as the leader of monitor and control network management software within the satellite communications and network management marketplace. The company was acquired in 2002, and currently operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Integral Systems, a public company. He is the President and CEO of the New Hampshire High Technology Council. He is also on the Board of Advisors for Auditel Inc. and Good Leads Inc. Mr. Houle holds a BSBA from Suffolk University, Boston Massachusetts.

Steven Harper ( [email protected] ),

is a Partner with The Sandler Sales Institute, and a Certified Sales Coach. He joined Sandler after being with EchoMail where he was Vice President of Sales and Business Development. Prior to EchoMail, he was with Exodus Communications, where he was Regional Vice President of Sales, and Vice President of Exodus Internet Canada, Inc. Starting when Exodus had fewer than 200 people, he was one of the builders of a regional organization that started with 4 people and grew to over 600.

Before joining Exodus, Mr. Harper was at BBN Planet (Genuity). At BBN he was Sr. Web Hosting Specialist, developing sales for web hosting and e-commerce. In addition, he was responsible for selling International ISP connectivity around the globe. Prior to BBN, Mr. Harper ran North and South American sales for IME Systems, an online relational database company. Steve received a BA from California State University, Fullerton, California, and lives in New Hampshire with his wife and twin daughters.
