ENET's Business Incubators Expo

Tuesday, October 21, 2014

An annual event like no other, this event will help you connect with incubators and workspacesthat are making things happen in Boston. This event is part of BREW 2014, Boston Regional Entrepreneurship World (http://www.brewboston.org/). Meet our specially curated group of top Boston incubators, accelerators and co-working spaces including:

The Association of Cleantech Incubators of New England (ACTION) is New England’s network of cleantech incubators sharing the common goals of accelerating the growth and success of early-stage companies, strengthening the regional cleantech cluster, and creating more green jobs in New England.

Their network of incubators provides diverse resources and a highly- supportive hub in which entrepreneurs, business leaders, government agencies, community leaders, investors, universities, and other interested organizations can collaborate toward the successful commercialization of enterprises that will build a prosperous green economy, improve the quality of our lives and sustain the health of our environment. Visit www.actionnewengland.org.

TiE Challenge is a year-long accelerator program to turn great ideas into real companies. It’s the first accelerator run by successful entrepreneurs to help new entrepreneurs. It offers a unique multiplicative force where 20 companies receive targeted advising, monthly meetings, networking opportunities, access to investors and opportunity to showcase at TiE events.

TiE-Boston is a comprehensive eco-system for entrepreneurs with vital resources for every stage of the entrepreneurial process. It is part of the global TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) group that is the largest not-for profit organization promoting entrepreneurship. TiE-Boston runs several vibrant programs to educate, mentor, network and inspire entrepreneurs in the community. TiE connects entrepreneurs with each other and other stakeholders in the entrepreneurial world including other serial entrepreneurs, Angel Investors, Venture Capitalists, Vendors and Service Providers. http://www.tie-boston.org

The MassChallenge allows entrepreneurs to pick and choose from an array of events to accommodate the startups’ needs and interests. The accelerator curriculum is flexible and not required. Entrepreneurs choose sessions that will help them most. Our primary activities include running an annual global accelerator program and startup competition, documenting and organizing key resources, and organizing training and networking events. http://masschallenge.org/accelerator

ACCELERATE, Wentworth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center was formed in May 2012 with the idea to bring innovation + entrepreneurship skills to our students. Why? Because they are critical competencies in the 21st century and help individuals to iterate an idea, try oneself out, see the bigger picture, solve problems, network intentionally, and build confidence in taking risks for small projects and big ideas. We thought the best way to do this would be to promote interdisciplinary collaboration among students, alumni, industry, and the Boston community. http://blogs.wit.edu/accelerate/

Northeastern IDEA is a student-run venture accelerator that provides a variety of resources to Northeastern affiliated entrepreneurs who are looking to launch their own businesses. Throughout the stage-gate process we provide ventures with coaching, mentoring, in-kind services, business planning framework, and the opportunity to apply for our Gap Fund. http://www.northeastern.edu/idea/
