Like last year, the Boston Entrepreneurs' Network offers our annual Expo of accelerators, incubators, and co-working spaces who will showcase rapid development options to entrepreneurs in the Greater Boston Area. We at ENET hope that you will join us at our Expo this year!

The Expo will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, 6-9 p.m. at the Microsoft New England Research and Development Center (NERD), 1 Memorial Drive, Cambridge, MA. The NERD is within easy walking distance of the Kendall Square Red Line T Station.

Beverages and pizza will be served. Last year, over 100 entrepreneurs attended the event and more than 20 incubators exhibited.

Each exhibitor will host a table with up to two representatives to answer your questions, distribute promotional materials and business cards. During the Expo, exhibitors will have up to 2 minutes to present their elevator pitch in front of the attendees.

ACCELERATE, Wentworth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center was formed in May 2012 with the idea to bring innovation + entrepreneurship skills to our students. Why? Because they are critical competencies in the 21st century and help individuals to iterate an idea, try oneself out, see the bigger picture, solve problems, network intentionally, and build confidence in taking risks for small projects and big ideas. We thought the best way to do this would be to promote interdisciplinary collaboration among students, alumni, industry, and the Boston community.

The Association of Cleantech Incubators of New England (ACTION) is New England’s network of cleantech incubators sharing the common goals of accelerating the growth and success of early-stage companies, strengthening the regional cleantech cluster, and creating more green jobs in New England. 

Its network of incubators provides diverse resources and a highly-supportive hub in which entrepreneurs, business leaders, government agencies, community leaders, investors, universities, and other interested organizations can collaborate toward the successful commercialization of enterprises that will build a prosperous green economy, improve the quality of our lives and sustain the health of our environment. Coalition is a top-quality co-working space in Downtown Crossing in Boston, with the best location in co-working - right atop the red, orange, and green lines! CIC started in 1999 with a vision and a simple idea: “Startups make the world much better. CommonWealth Kitchen operates greater Boston's only non-profit food business incubator and small-batch contract manufacturing operation. We offer fully-equipped shared-use commercial kitchen facilities on a membership basis combined with an array of business advisory services, including recipe development, labeling, packaging, permitting, licensing, ingredient sourcing, marketing, distribution, staffing, and business planning and finance.  Our 45+ member businesses plus 30+ graduates run the gamut of wholesalers, retailers, caterers and food trucks. We also operate our own contract manufacturing  operation, providing on-demand production to a range of wholesalers, retailers, restaurants and farms. Our focus is on helping build great local food companies,creating local jobs, improving access to fresh, healthy food, and strengthening our regional food economy.  Common goals. Common good. The EforAll Entrepreneur Program is a Lowell/Lawrence based community wide initiative supporting entrepreneurship. It is supported by EforAll and the Deshpande Foundation. With more than 30 partner organizations and institutions, including Enterprise Bank and the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, EforAll is strengthening the ecosystem around entrepreneurship and leadership, not only in these two communities, but also in two new Massachusetts regions: the South Coast (New Bedford and Fall River) and Lynn. The initiative aims to give entrepreneurs a greater chance at success through pitch contests, workshops, intensive programs, and a vibrant co-working space.

Framingham State University Entrepreneur Innovation Center

The Entrepreneur Innovation Center for MetroWest offers a membership which includes:  co-working space, Framingham State University student interns to provide work free for you, a conference room, free parking, a location one block from Route 9 and close to Exit 12 of the Mass Pike, a joint membershp with Workbar that provides free downtown Boston and Cambridge workspace 5 days a month. Geek Offices (www.geekoffices.com) is an affordable and flexible co-working suite located in Inman Square, Cambridge.  In operation since 2009, the space is home to about 20 companies and 40 members.  Geek Offices offers worktables, dedicated workstations, private offices, and a range of memberships, including company payment plans. Everything is included in a one monthly fee: wifi, 24-hour access, conference rooms, coffee, kitchens, printing, and on-site Resident Geeks.  Additional perks include showers, lockers, ZipCars, on-site UPS/Fedex and Hubway Bikes. Geek Offices is unique because its owners also own the building in which Geek Offices is located and can be very accommodating to new start-ups and entrepreneurs. There are no leases, no security deposits, no insurance, nor time commitments required at Geek Offices.

Impact Hub Boston is located in the heart of downtown Boston, at the intersection of the Financial District and Downtown Crossing. Our community members are startups, small businesses, non-profits and others. One of the things that makes us different is the way we support Boston’s many organizations with important social missions, through our events, membership and in other ways. We offer our members open and fixed-desk coworking, and use of lots of shared facilities such as conference rooms, phone booths, kitchens, and event spaces. We are convenient to all MBTA subway lines and both commuter rail stations (we also offer attached covered parking for those who drive). North Shore InnoVentures

Established in 2008, North Shore InnoVentures® is a nonprofit technology business incubator committed to Accelerating the growth of innovative startups in the cleantech and biotech sectors (two of the strongest technology clusters in Massachusetts) and Supporting the economic development on the North Shore by successfully launching new companies and creating high-quality, sustainable jobs. NSIV’s collaborative business model allows us to provide promising young companies office space, shared laboratories and equipment, sponsored professional services, successful entrepreneur mentors, and investor advisers. Together we help our member companies refine their business strategies, conserve capital, build strong teams, and achieve development and funding milestones. Mansfield Bio-Incubator is a non-profit organization whose mission is to facilitate and assist with the creation, growth, and success of the next generation of biotech companies, train and educate future workers for these companies, and nurture entrepreneurial and economic development in the community by maintaining affordable lab and office space, services, training, and a network of mentors and advisors. We provide entrepreneurs, life-sciences start-ups, and students and faculty members of colleges and vocational schools in Massachusetts with the space and resources needed to test out, challenge, and nurture early, innovative ideas while teaching students the skills needed for successful careers in the biotech industry. Mansfield Bio-Incubator is located 1 mile from the Boston-Providence MBTA Commuter Rail Line, with easy access to Routes 95 and 495. The incubator will occupy 10,000 square feet of a former manufacturing plant, with up to 100,000 square feet and 63 acres available for further expansion. Mansfield Bio-Incubator plans to open in 2016.

The MassChallenge allows entrepreneurs to pick and choose from an array of events to accommodate the startups’ needs and interests. The accelerator curriculum is flexible and not required. Entrepreneurs choose sessions that will help them most. Mass Innovation Labs offers clients a quality of R&D infrastructure typically available only in mature biotech and pharma companies. With 124,000 s.f. available in the heart of Kendall Square, we accommodate simultaneously the needs of small to large pharmaceutical and biotech research companies with state-of-the-art laboratory infrastructure supporting basic research, BSL2, chemistry, and animal vivarium needs. The Mass Innovation Labs Jumpstart Program helps companies launch in as quickly as two weeks.  In a highly competitive biotech space, a fast launch can mean gaining a significant time advantage over competitors, enhancing investment options, and can make the difference in being and staying first-in-class. Experienced operations staff drawn from industry veterans work with companies to establish space and infrastructure requirements. Liberty Mutual Insurance (LMI) Personal Insurance Team offers an incubator with resources to support innovators. The dedicated LMI Innovation Team constantly evaluates a portfolio of key trends and technologies that could impact on our customers in the future, as well as explores how we can help our customers benefit from new technologies by partnering with established organizations, academia, and startups to develop and test new concepts. Recently, LMI launched Solaria Labs as a dedicated space located at WeWork South Station in Boston, allowing access to 400+ startups, new ideas, and approaches to help shape and launch new ventures. Maureen Mansfield, ALM, is a business development, corporate development, and strategy professional for companies in the the private and public sectors. Currently, Maureen is at Mansfield Law where she works with  entrepreneurs, inventors, artists, startups, and emerging growth companies. Previously, she cofounded a boot strapped startup that has progressed to a $10 million term sheet agreement. She currently serves as an advisor and mentor for several startups and related entrepreneurial ventures. She is a member of the Executive Board of The Boston Entrepreneurs' Network (Boston ENET), where she leads Alliance Partnerships.

Prior to joining Mansfield Law in 2009, Maureen was a New England Director of Business Development for the award-winning firm Syska & Hennessy, Inc., With S&H, she focused on business development and corporate management strategy for major accounts locally, nationally, and internationally. After helping to bring in its most successful year, Maureen was awarded a seat on the  board of directors. Previously, Maureen was a Senior National Accounts Manager at Abbott Laboratories where she focused on contract compliance, increasing revenues, and sales. She initiated and innovated contract management and auditing procedures that resulted in a new nationwide cost center the produced annual savings of over $1 million.  She also helped co-found two holiday charities that continue today.

Maureen received two BAs from the University of Iowa., one in Journalism and one in Communication. Maureen also received a Master of Liberal Arts (ALM) in Management with a Concentration in Finance & Control from Harvard University.
